VENTURA, Calif. - Californer -- Zavala Law, PC is pleased to announce that founding attorney Matthew A. "Matt" Zavala has been selected to the 2027 Southern California Super Lawyers list. The recognition places him among a limited group of attorneys in the region honored for professional achievement and peer recognition in the field of personal injury law.
Super Lawyers, part of Thomson Reuters, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selection follows a patented multiphase process that includes peer nominations, independent research across 12 indicators of professional achievement, and peer evaluations by practice area. No more than five percent of attorneys in a state or region are named to the Super Lawyers list each year, and attorneys cannot pay to be included.

Matt Zavala founded Zavala Law, PC in Ventura in 2018 after spending nearly a decade representing insurance companies and large corporations. That experience shapes the way he handles cases today. Having seen how insurers evaluate, delay, and contest claims, he now uses that knowledge solely on behalf of injured people and their families. The firm handles personal injury matters with an emphasis on car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle crashes, bicycle accidents, slip and fall accidents, and wrongful death claims throughout Ventura County and the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Zavala earned his Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2009 and his Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from San Diego State University in 2006. He is a member of the Ventura County Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He has also served as an adjunct professor teaching Civil Procedure at The Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law and as a volunteer judge for the Ventura County Office of Education's annual mock trial competition. In addition to his trial work, he has been retained as a mediator in contested, multi-party accident cases, giving him experience from the plaintiff, defense, and neutral perspectives.
