Lifekind Foundation Launches Expanded Thanksgiving Initiative to Serve 1,000 Palm Desert and Inland Empire Families
PALM DESERT, Calif. - Californer -- Registration Remains Open for Volunteers, Only a Few Spots Left for Recipients; Community Support Critical to Meeting 567% Expansion Goal PALM DESERT, CA – The Lifekind Foundation today announced its expanded Thanksgiving Initiative will provide holiday meals to 1,000 food-insecure families across the Palm Desert and Inland Empire regions, a 567% increase from 2024. Slots for both volunteer and recipient registration are still open, with distributions scheduled November 15-22 at four strategic locations. "Every family facing food insecurity has the capacity to thrive - they just need support navigating challenging times," said Samantha Moritz, CEO. "We're here to be that support, providing not just meals but pathways to wellness, education about resources, and partnerships that help restore families to wholeness. This is about walking with our neighbors until they're steady on their feet again."
