Michelle Rubel is the San Diego-based artist and inventor who first created the popular The Commander In Crap™ President Trump toilet brush in 2019. Shortly after adding the products to her Etsy store, she received orders nationally and internationally exceeding $300K in just 3 days.

Although humor has always been a big part of her life, she doesn't consider the toilet brushes to be a gag gift. "I see these items as performance art. Each one is handmade by me so there is the element of artistry that speaks to the importance of self expression," said Rubel.
"It was more for my own therapy—it's a therapy brush." said the product creator. "When the world feels out of control, scrubbing the inside of your toilet with Trump's head brings pleasure in the bathroom, you never thought possible. It's cleaner, cheaper, and safer than screaming into the void."
