LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Eastern Projects is proud to present Rodrigo Angel Jimenez-Ortega's first SOLO SHOW with the gallery: IT IS WHAT IT IS.
His work explores identity, memory, and culture through the lens of heritage and digital media. Drawing from an upbringing between San Diego and Tijuana, he merges personal history with imagery from video games, cartoons, & internet culture, including references to Nintendo and Dragon Ball Z.
Thought-provoking paintings transform familiar imagery, opening a dialogue between digital fantasy and lived reality. The works invite reflection on memory, nostalgia, and the layered intersections of culture.
