Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The KJLH Women's Health Expo, a highly anticipated event for women in Southern California, is set to take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Long Beach Convention Center. This annual event, sponsored by the Black Infant Health Program (BIH), will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the theme "The Silver Lining: 25 Years of Building Generational Health." The theme not only honors the legacy and impact of the expo but also highlights the dedication to promoting the health and empowerment of women and families across Southern California.

According to Mayor Rex Richardson, this event is a result of a longstanding partnership between KJLH and the City of Long Beach. "For 25 years, KJLH and the City of Long Beach have worked together to advance women's wellness and empowerment," said Mayor Richardson. "The Women's Health Expo reflects our shared commitment to health equity and our efforts towards building a healthier future for every woman and family in our community."

The expo will feature over hundreds of exhibitors showcasing health, wellness, beauty, fitness, and lifestyle products and services tailored specifically for women and families. Attendees can look forward to an exercise zone, healthy dishes stage, wellness center, as well as free health screenings. There will also be engaging activities for all ages with opportunities to win exciting prizes and giveaways.

First District Councilwoman Mary Zendejas expressed her excitement about welcoming back this event in Downtown Long Beach. "It is a privilege to once again host the cherished Women's Health Expo as it celebrates its 25th anniversary," said Councilwoman Zendejas. "This event sheds light on the importance of promoting women's health and wellbeing while also recognizing the incredible work of programs like our Black Infant Health Long Beach that uplifts and empowers our community every day."

The Women's Health Expo is free and open to the public, welcoming community members of all ages to attend and be a part of this landmark celebration of health, healing, and hope. Doors will open at 6 a.m., with the KJLH live broadcast starting at 8 a.m. and the event kickoff at 9 a.m. While registration is recommended, it is not required to attend. The Black Infant Health Program, under the City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, will return as the presenting sponsor for this year's expo. The BIH Pavilion, a vibrant 90-square-foot cultural space, will offer interactive game zones, wellness vendors, hosted panel discussions, and breakout sessions focused on stress management and Black birth equity.
