Jonine Scott launches GoFundMe campaign while attending Los Angeles City College and living on a fixed income
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Los Angeles, CA — Jonine Scott, a Los Angeles City College student recovering from nerve damage, is reaching out to the community for support as she works to remain housed and continue her medical recovery while living on a limited fixed income.
After suffering nerve damage that impacted her mobility and daily life, Scott has spent months focused on physical recovery while also trying to manage rising rent, food costs, and medical expenses. Like many individuals facing health-related financial hardship, she has had to make difficult choices between basic needs and medical care.
"I'm working hard to heal, continue my education, and rebuild stability," Scott said. "Community support allows me to focus on recovery instead of worrying about losing my home."
