LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2024 ~ Music Reports, Inc. has announced the appointment of Jason Walker as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective February 2024. This decision by the Company's Board of Directors marks a significant moment for Music Reports, as Mr. Walker has been a dedicated member of the team for nearly 30 years.
Previously serving as the General Manager of the Audio-visual Services group, Mr. Walker has played a crucial role in Music Reports' success. He has been instrumental in spearheading the development of Cuetrak™ and leading strategic planning and operations for the Audio-visual business vertical. Additionally, he has managed the entire copyright research team, whose work powers both the Songdex® music rights registry and the Cuetrak™ platform.
Sara Badham, Managing Director at MidOcean Partners, a middle-market private equity firm and majority owner of Music Reports, expressed her excitement about Mr. Walker's promotion to CEO. In his new role as CEO, Mr. Walker expressed his commitment to continue driving Music Reports' success. "The music industry is undergoing exciting transformation, and I am confident that with our talented team and cutting-edge solutions, we can empower music stakeholders to thrive in this dynamic environment."
Along with Mr. Walker's appointment as CEO, Music Reports also announced promotions within its leadership team. Bill Colitre has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel (COO & GC), while Aaron Partington is now Chief Technology Officer (CTO). These promotions, along with the existing executive team members Denise Crayne, Chief Financial Officer, and Phil Barry, CEO of Blokur, will work collaboratively to continue providing excellent service to Music Reports' customers as the true independent voice in music rights globally.
With Mr. Walker at the helm and a strong leadership team in place, Music Reports is well-positioned to navigate the ever-changing music industry and continue its mission of empowering music stakeholders.
