EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. - Californer -- Ten years ago, Shaun Alston sat across from Jon Robert Quinn on a Sacramento radio program called The Good Life Show. At the time, Alston was already an established name in Northern California real estate. Neither could have known that their conversation would eventually become the beginning of a story that would lead to national television.

This week, Alston returned to Quinn's microphone for the first time in a decade, now as a host of The American Dream, the Emmy-nominated national television program that showcases real estate, lifestyle and the communities that make each market unique.

It is a fitting progression for a man whose career has always been about more than selling houses.

Alston has spent decades helping people navigate one of life's most personal decisions—finding a place to call home. Today, through Eagle Realty, his work continues throughout Northern California, while his television career has given him another way to tell the stories of the people and communities behind the properties. Eagle Realty now lists Alston as a "TV Host, Industry Leader, & Trendsetter."

His path to television did not happen overnight. It grew from years of experience, relationships and a genuine understanding of real estate and the people who live in the communities he serves.

That makes his return to Impact & Influence Radio particularly meaningful.

In the new interview, Alston reflects on the decade since his first conversation with Quinn, his journey into The American Dream, the world of real estate and what it means to continue building a career while remaining connected to the people and communities that made it possible.

For Quinn, there was something special about welcoming an old friend back to the microphone.

"Ten years is a long time," said Quinn. "But when Shaun walked back into the studio, it didn't feel like ten years had passed. We simply picked up the conversation—and this time, he had an incredible story to tell."

From a Sacramento radio studio in 2016 to a nationally broadcast television program, Shaun Alston's story is a reminder that sometimes the most interesting journeys are the ones that unfold one chapter at a time.

The new conversation with Shaun Alston is now available on Impact & Influence Radio.

Impact & Influence Radio is hosted by Jon Robert Quinn and features conversations with entrepreneurs, business leaders and accomplished individuals whose stories, careers and ideas are making an impact.
