PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Jan. 30, 2019 - Californer -- National School Transformation Conference Announces Awards
The National School Transformation Conference has announced it will allow the audience to participate in selecting the recipients of the 2019 Awards. The Awards will be presented during the conference, July 14th – 16th at the Palm Springs Convention Center, in CA. Voting will take place through the event app.
Keynotes at the National School Transformation Conference include authors George Couros and Eric Sheninger.
In order to qualify, nominees must submit a proposal to speak at NSTC. Proposals will go through a rigorous vetting process by the K-12 educators and influencers in the Program Council.
In addition to being recognized for their leadership and transformative practices, the winner of the NSTC Principal of the Year Award will help select the sponsored charity for 2020, as well as receive a free registration for the 2020 event (inclusive of hotel accommodations). Other categories will be announced in the coming months, in areas such as classroom technology and instructional leadership.

The conference offers PD and skills training that align with ESSA requirements, helping Principals, Instructional Coaches, Curriculum Managers and Technology Coordinators reach the next level of leadership.
"This event will be the pinnacle moment of my year professionally! The networking opportunities and the sessions that we will be able to experience will provide more tips, tricks, and resources into my bag of expertise for what we design for students in our school, starting immediately!", said Eric Chagala, Ed.D., Founding Principal of Vista Innovation & Design Academy (VIDA), CA.
Partnering with over 70 innovative solution providers, the interactive showcases and workshops will include VR, robotics, and creativity playgrounds. NSTC's non-profit supporters include Strive Together and Project Lead the Way, which will host sessions and offer resources for attending schools.
