LOS ANGELES - Californer -- While many people proclaim to be coaches in today's ever-changing world, it takes a great deal of effort to become a coach, especially in the field of speaking and leadership. Public speaking is one of the world's biggest fears, and building people into great speakers takes time, energy, and the ability to focus on many components, from vocal pitch to content development.
North Hills resident, Rosalyn Kahn, has been a college instructor in the field of public speaking for more than 20 years. She has taught at several of the area's colleges and has her own coaching practice to help those from various walks of life become better speakers and presenters. This allows them to become leaders in their fields.
This month, Kahn was recognized by an Australian organization called The Global Achievers (TGA). TGA recognizes top experts and achievers in their fields and holds an annual contest, recognizing those in the areas of coaching, the arts, humanities, and the sciences.
After sending out a ballot to their global membership of more than 7,000 people, Kahn came in third place for best coach. There were more than 15 names on the ballot for this position.

"We only select the top achievers in their field––those who truly know their area and have made a difference in the lives of others. Nobody fits this description better than Rosalyn Kahn, and we were happy to have her on our platform," said Dr. Vicky Omifolaji, the CEO of The Global Achievers.
TGA recently held their annual conference and had a host of speakers and panelists to present on various topics. During this event, Kahn gave a presentation on how being on the TEDx stage changed her life. She talked about how she started off as a volunteer in the TED organization and how she spent a year preparing to give her talk on how taking her students to the theater changed the way they learned the English language.
"It was truly a gift to be able to share my knowledge with those in the TGA organization on the power of being on the TEDx stage," said Kahn. "It is always an honor to coach someone and watch them blossom into a great speaker," she added.
The Global Achievers is truly a global organization and is constantly seeking new members who contribute greatly to their field of expertise. For more information, visit theglobalachievers.org .
Kahn is excited to be expanding her reach as a global speaker during the pandemic and looks forward to new opportunities.
