Airport Director Cynthia Guidry expressed her excitement about Alaska Airlines' expansion at LGB, stating that it builds on their partnership while providing passengers with another convenient destination to explore. During the Airport's most recent flight slot allocation process, Alaska Airlines requested two available flight slots, reflecting their renewed interest in the Long Beach market.
Alaska Airlines became part of the same airline group as Hawaiian Airlines in September 2024 when Alaska Air Group, Inc. completed its integration with Hawaiian Holdings, Inc. While the two airlines continue to operate under their distinct brands, they have combined their networks and come together under a single Atmos Rewards loyalty program to offer travelers more options.
Hawaiian Airlines has a long history at LGB, with nonstop service to Honolulu since 2018 and Maui since 2021. In 2022, they further solidified their commitment to LGB by opening an Airbus 321neo line maintenance base at the Airport, creating local jobs and expanding their operations. Today, Hawaiian Airlines remains an important part of LGB's service to Hawaii, while Alaska Airlines adds new connectivity for Long Beach area travelers.
Long Beach Airport is officially trademarked as "America's Coolest Airport™" and offers a uniquely stress-free travel experience with exceptional customer service. Conveniently located between Los Angeles and Orange counties, LGB currently offers nonstop service on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Southwest Airlines.
