Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach is accepting applications for delivery-only cannabis licenses, a new license category available exclusively to verified Cannabis Equity Program applicants, the city's Department of Economic Development & Opportunity said.

The licenses allow eligible businesses to make commercial cannabis deliveries in Long Beach and other jurisdictions where such deliveries are permitted. The city describes the model as a lower-cost alternative to storefront operations, with fewer upfront barriers for applicants seeking to enter or expand in the regulated market.

The Long Beach City Council adopted the Cannabis Delivery-Only Dispensary Ordinance in December 2024. The measure expanded permitted commercial cannabis activities and established operational standards for delivery-only businesses, according to the department.

Eligible applicants may receive priority licensing and tailored technical assistance, and may apply for grants to support business planning, compliance, equipment and early operating costs, the city said.

Applications are available online and will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. Applicants can find materials and resources on the city's website or contact the department at CannabizLB@longbeach.gov.
