SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Californer -- The Southeast Ventura County YMCA announced it has been awarded a $1 million state budget grant through the governor's signing of State Budget AB113 last week to help fund the upcoming expansion of its Simi Valley Family YMCA branch.
This financial investment from the state will bring the YMCA closer to fully funding the $7.5 million project and achieve YMCA leadership's objectives of funding the project through a partnership of local philanthropy, business investments and public/government funding.
