Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation to host annual fundraiser to benefit pediatric cancer research
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Californer -- The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) will kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with its 3rd annual Dine & Donate during the month of September.
The concept is simple: dine out at any of the participating restaurants and that restaurant will donate a percentage of the day's proceeds to PCRF. PCRF, in turn, helps to fill participating restaurants with diners. Diners have the unique opportunity to support once or several times during the month, with restaurants participating on varying days and times throughout the month of September.
Since its inception, Dine & Donate has raised over $45,000 and has had over 265 restaurant locations across the country participate to help find a cure for pediatric cancer. All proceeds raised will help save the lives of children fighting cancer.

"We're incredibly proud to grow our Dine & Donate program each year and raise awareness throughout the country," said Jeri Wilson, Executive Director of PCRF. "For over 38 years, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation has worked strategically and diligently to combat childhood cancer. Dine & Donate is a great opportunity to raise much needed funds for childhood cancer while enjoying a meal with friends and family."
Returning supporting restaurants include Avila's El Ranchito, Chipotle, Fresh Brothers, HopDoddy, LA Press, Mamma Rosa Ristorante, Newport Rib Company, Northwood Pizza, Rothchild's Restaurant, Ruby's Diner Mission Viejo and The Cannery.
New participating restaurants include 21 Oceanfront, B Candy, El Cholo, Harley Laguna, High Park Tap House, Louie's by the Bay, Mi Casa, RJ's Café, StoneFire Grill, Taqueros Mexican Restaurant, Ways & Means Oyster House and Zov's Newport Coast.
Restaurants that are participating in their own special givebacks for the month of September include: Ruby's Diner; all 23 locations in CA and 2 locations in PA will be donating $1 for each "Shake of the Month" sold. Urban Kitchen; all 5 locations in CA (CUCINA urbina, CUCINA sorella, CUCINA enoteca) will be donating $1 of every bottle of CUCINA private label wine sold.
