New results show 13% faster startup, memory near parity, 5.6% lower H.264 CPU, 25.8 ms AI panel readiness and zero retained processes in sustained testing.

SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- Fast Browser. Bounded Intelligence.

Pervaziv AI today released an update to its Cortex Discover performance work, extending its earlier six browser study into a ten phase engineering and qualification program focused on a harder challenge: keeping agentic AI available throughout everyday browsing without allowing its resource footprint to grow unchecked.

The result is a stronger performance baseline for Cortex Discover.

Under updated controlled macOS testing, Cortex Discover started approximately 12 to 13% faster than Chrome for Testing while operating near memory parity. Rendering and workload throughput remained effectively equivalent, while interaction and background readiness were also close to parity.

A deterministic H.264 workload measured Cortex Discover CPU and CPU time 5.6% lower than Chrome, with equivalent decoded frame output and zero dropped frames in either browser.

A Stronger Standard of Proof

Pervaziv AI began the update by challenging its own strongest previous result.

The original six browser study showed a much larger apparent memory advantage for Cortex Discover. Additional qualification found that unequal browser process conditions had influenced those numbers. With equivalent controls applied, the current result is memory near parity.

Rather than preserve the more favorable headline, Pervaziv AI retired it.

That shifted the work from a browser ranking exercise toward a broader question: can an agentic browser remain fast, stable and resource conscious as AI becomes a persistent part of the experience?

Built for the Long Session

The final qualification campaign completed twelve measured 15 minute runs across panel closed, panel open and repeated open and close conditions.

All twelve runs completed successfully.

Panel readiness reached 25.80 milliseconds at the 95th percentile. All 3,343 native cycling samples remained healthy. No measured cycling run retained an additional browser process.

The final median footprint difference was only +2.11 MiB, with the complete measured interval remaining within the program's qualification limit.

"AI performance should not be measured only by how quickly intelligence appears," said Anoop Jaishankar, Founder and CEO of Pervaziv AI. "It should stay responsive and resource conscious as people keep working. That is the standard we are building Cortex Discover around."

The update reinforces a central design principle behind Cortex Discover: ordinary browsing should remain lightweight, while more intensive AI capabilities consume resources when they are actually needed.

Cortex Discover is part of the broader Cortex Enterprise AI platform spanning browser, development, mobile and cloud experiences.
