Pickleball Individual Player Rating (PIPR) announces that all pickleball players can now receive a free digital player rating card to help find comparable players, organize games, and improve play.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Californer -- Pickleball Individual Player Rating (PIPR) today announced that all pickleball players can now receive a free individual PIPR player rating card.

The free PIPR card is created through a quick online assessment and provides players with a digital rating and a unique verification link that can be shared online or in person. The rating is designed to reflect individual skill rather than match results or partner-dependent outcomes.

"Players can finally see their level as an individual and share that with others to create strong games and matches," said a PIPR spokesperson.

More on The Californer
The free PIPR player rating card helps players and organizers:
  • Find players at similar skill levels
  • Create more balanced and competitive games
  • Reduce mismatches during open play
  • Organize club play, ladders, and leagues
  • Support smoother tournament seeding and brackets

Because pickleball is primarily played as doubles, match results often fail to reflect individual ability. PIPR focuses on individual skill, rules knowledge, and on-court competencies to provide a clearer picture of how a player actually plays.

The free PIPR card is available worldwide and can be used across clubs, cities, and regions. Players may also choose to validate or update their rating through instructor-led evaluations, but no paid assessment is required to receive a free PIPR card.

The free PIPR player rating card is available now.
