More on The Californer

At its heart, You Reign is more than just a worship song—it's a declaration of God's sovereignty over creation. Inspired during a night of prayer, Psalmist Sylmac found herself kneeling before the Throne of Grace, as described in Hebrews 4:16. Out of that sacred moment flowed the lyrics affirming that our Father reigns above every circumstance, changing winds and tides, holding all things together in His hands.

"This song means so much to me because it puts me in a place of total surrender," Psalmist Sylmac shares. "My prayer is that as people listen, they too will experience the presence of our Omnipresent Father—the One who reigns forever."

The praise and worship music combines heartfelt vocals with scripture-inspired lyrics, creating an atmosphere of reverence and intimacy. Whether used for personal devotion, playlists of YouTube Christian music with lyrics, or as worship lyric videos for churches, You Reign offers a timeless reminder of faith, surrender, and God's eternal love.

This song for God also carries a global message. As Psalmist Sylmac reflected on those who have not yet heard the gospel, she was moved to write verses that extend beyond borders, reminding all listeners that God reigns supreme across every land and culture.
