Ray Buffer does it again - using his voice and presence to seize the screen.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Californer -- Actor Ray Buffer delivers a chilling performance as the villainous Frank Beatty in the new sci-fi western short film, The Lord of All Future Space & Time, which had its world premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival and will next screen at the LA Shorts Film Festival this July. Directed and written by Chris Paul Russell and produced by Epic Level Entertainment, the 24-minute short blends time-bending science fiction with classic western tropes, following a grief-stricken cowboy who receives help from a mysterious duffel bag from the future to avenge his wife's death. With a style likened to the Coen Brothers and the whimsical structure of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the film has been lauded for its genre-defying tone and rich visual storytelling.

Ray Buffer, whose screen presence continues to evolve with each role, portrays Frank Beatty with sinister finesse, offering a compelling and layered antagonist. He joins a strong ensemble cast including Roy Williams Jr., Mark Benninghofen, and Paulette Fajardo. The film features cinematography by Joe Simon, music by Alex Bornstein, and editing by Shawn Lovering, with visual effects by Danny Shepherd. Executive producers include Dana Guerin, Cindi Rice, Joe Simon, Arian Russell, and John Frank Rosenblum. Director Chris Paul Russell describes the film as "a story about grief, the flow of time, and how our actions redirect that flow in ways we can't predict," adding that its unique blend of western and science fiction elements emerged naturally from the emotional core of the story.

Ray Buffer, a Long Beach-based SAG-AFTRA financial-core actor with decades of experience on stage and screen, adds Frank Beatty to his growing list of complex roles. Known for his powerful vocal presence and theatrical roots, Buffer continues to expand his screen credits with a blend of dark humor, gravitas, and emotional nuance.
