Sharing Safety & Security Tips With Houses Of Worship Of All Faiths
SAN DIEGO - Californer -- On Wednesday, July 1 at 9AM PST, the Rock Church's Safety and Security Team will host a special COVID-19 Training Workshop. This free, online workshop is open to anyone and will focus on the relevant topics of leading teams during crisis, along with safety strategies for the reopening of faith-based organizations.
This special COVID-19 workshop will address issues facing today's houses of worship of all faiths in the areas of COVID-19 Emergency Operations Planning, Cyber Security, Moving Forward - Reopening Plans and Developing Community Partnerships. According to the National Organization of Church Security and Safety Management, violent crimes occurring at churches trended up 13% in the last 10 years and COVID-19 has death tolls in the U.S. hitting over 121 thousand. It's evident that a multifaceted approach to safety is at the forefront of religious leaders' minds throughout the country.
