Background:The City of San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) Department, Council District 2 office, and residents will unveil Golden Oak Park on Saturday, January 28, and amenity renovations to Miner Park on Saturday, February 4.

Residents can look forward to a new 1.6 acre neighborhood park in the Great Oaks neighborhood. The park has two playgrounds, a picnic area, and a fitness equipment station. Additional features include a lounge seating area, drinking fountain, bike rack, and cornhole set up for residents to relax, unwind, and have fun.

Miner Park features a new walking pathway at the north end of the park, three new fitness equipment areas, and a renovated neighborhood reader board.

These community spaces are one of many ways our City invests in the future of its residents. With over 200 City parks, residents of all ages, cultures, and abilities can enjoy a safe, fun, and healthy San José.
