~ The City of San Jose has announced its intent to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) for the Senter Road Residential Project. The project involves subdividing the existing 2.23-acre site into 44 residential lots and three open space parcels. Forty-two of the lots will be developed with a three-story duplex on each lot, while the remaining two lots will be developed with a three-story single-family residence on each lot. Eleven of the 44 dwelling units are planned to be affordable housing units.
The project site is located on Senter Road between Keyes Street and East Alma Avenue in San José, and is not present on any list pursuant to Section 65962.5 of the California Government Code. The City has performed an environmental review of the project, and based on this review, has prepared a Draft MND for this project.
The public is invited to review and comment on the Draft MND during a public comment period that begins on March 10, 2023 and ends on March 30, 2023. The Draft ND, Initial Study, and reference documents are available online at https://www.sanjoseca.gov/your-government/depar... as well as at the City of San José Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement located at City Hall, 200 East Santa Clara Street; and at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Main Library located at 150 E San Fernando Street from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
