SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Tracie E. Stender has recently joined the firm's San Diego office as counsel. She brings extensive experience as a litigator and counselor to the firm's Labor & Employment group.
Stender assists clients on matters arising at all stages of the employment relationship, from recruitment through separation and union relations; and discreetly and expeditiously investigates highly confidential matters involving board and executive conduct and alleged employee fraud and harassment. She litigates in state court and administrative proceedings, offering tailored and strategic representation. Informed by her experience as a litigator and general counsel, Stender helps clients implement practical policies and procedures to minimize risk. She works with a broad range of public and private clients, in industries including hospitality, education, healthcare and utilities.
Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Stender served as the Corporate Director of Compliance - Senior Counsel at JC Resorts. She received her J.D. from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law) where she graduated cum laude with honors and was recognized for delivering the best oral argument in Moot Court. Prior to that, Stender received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated with Provost's Honors. She is currently an active member of the California Lawyers Association and serves as Co-Chair of the McKinley School Foundation – SoNo Fest.
