GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 1, 2025 ~ The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) has recently announced the launch of a groundbreaking grant program in collaboration with Gilead Sciences. This initiative aims to advance the field of oncology navigation and improve patient outcomes within the healthcare setting. The program will provide support for the development, enhancement, and expansion of innovative tools that optimize efficiency and elevate the critical role of oncology navigators.
After issuing a call for grant submissions in April, AONN+ received an overwhelming response from healthcare leaders across the country. The submissions included creative applications, software solution ideas, and improvements to healthcare systems. The recipients of the award, which is valued up to $500,000, will be announced in June with project work set to begin in July. AONN+ has also enlisted the help of Amplity, their association management partner and strategic collaborator, to assist with the grant application process and implementation support for awardees.
