The Claremont Colleges (TCC) celebrate a century of collaborative excellence, with 2025 marking the 100th anniversary of the consortium's founding.
CLAREMONT, Calif. - Californer -- The Claremont Colleges (TCC) celebrate a century of collaborative excellence, with 2025 marking the 100th anniversary of the consortium's founding as envisioned by James A. Blaisdell through the Claremont Group Plan. Over the 2025–2026 academic year, the consortium will commemorate this historic milestone with a series of celebrations and commemorations that honor its shared legacy and vibrant future.
The signature centennial event, Town & Gown, will be hosted by The Claremont Colleges and the Claremont Graduate University (CGU) on Wed., Oct. 29. CGU is also celebrating its centennial this year. The Town & Gown is an annual event that brings together members of the colleges and the Claremont community to celebrate a longstanding partnership that has enriched the local community for generations. Congresswoman Judy Chu will attend the event and deliver remarks on the value of higher education.

In recognition of the consortium's century of academic and civic contributions, several certificates of recognition have been issued by elected officials, including:
As part of the Town & Gown program, attendees will view the premiere of Celebrating 100 Years, a centennial video that includes archival and contemporary imagery to highlight the founding vision, ongoing collaboration, and future aspirations of The Claremont Colleges.
