The San Francisco Education Fund Partners with Engiven to Enable Cryptocurrency Donations

SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- The San Francisco Education Fund, a nonprofit that mobilizes the community to support equitable access to quality education for San Francisco students, today announced a partnership with Engiven, a leading cryptocurrency donation platform, to offer a new alternative for supporters to help San Francisco students and families.

More than 300 million people worldwide, including over 14 percent of U.S. adults, use cryptocurrency. The number of crypto users is expected to break one billion by the end of 2022, according to research from Crypto.com. In addition to being one of the fastest-growing tradable assets, cryptocurrency was the fastest-growing segment in the philanthropy sector in 2021. The rapid adoption of cryptocurrency philanthropy is driving growth for many nonprofits. In 2021, the average donation processed on the Engiven platform was over $15,000.
