Featuring Local Saké from Tochigi Prefecture, the Token Dispenser, Situated Inside the Station's Kanaya Terrace Café, Opened on May 30, 2025.

NIKKO, Japan - Californer -- Tobu Railway Co., Ltd. and Kanaya Hotel Co., Ltd. jointly installed a token-operated saké dispenser inside THE KANAYA TERRACE Café, situated within Tobu Nikko Station (less than two hours north of Tokyo). The dispenser, unveiled on May 30, 2025, features local saké from breweries throughout Tochigi Prefecture. This allows customers, primarily returning from Nikko to the Tokyo area, to enjoy the flavors of Tochigi as they wait for their train home.

THE KANAYA TERRACE Café is a casual spot to experience a taste of the Nikko Kanaya Hotel in microcosm. By debuting local saké offerings, the café aims to not only deepen ties with communities along the railway line but also stimulate new demand and improve customer satisfaction.

By encouraging the casual enjoyment of local saké, the service enhances the station's tourist amenities and promotes the awareness and appeal of regional saké, ultimately contributing to the revitalization of communities along the railway line and strengthening the Tochigi brand.
