Top Seller" by overcoming countless obstacles and shattered many glass ceilings to become the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA) Top Seller of over 44,000 Girl Scouts. She has sold a record-breaking 18,994 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies in 6 years!
During and at the end of all Girl Scout cookie seasons, Makayla donated cookies to Houseless Veterans, First Responders, families in need, East Side Riders Bike Club and other local nonprofit organizations.
Makayla is passionate and truly cares about her community. During her journey of community service and taking action, Makayla has been inspired by her mentor John Jones III, CEO of East Side Riders Bike Club. Mr. John continues to encourage Makayla to conquer her goals, achieve success, all while giving back to underprivileged communities.

In addition to being GSGLA's Top Cookie Seller, Makayla is proud of earning her Girl Scout Bronze Award, Girl Scout Silver Award and is planning to earn her Girl Scout Gold Award within the next year. Makalya also serves as a member of GSGLA's Girl Scout Advisory (GAB) Bureau, Girls Advisory Team (GAT) and is an Honorable Advocate of Girl Scouts for Black Lives to increase awareness of Social and Racial Justice.
As a high school honors freshman planning to attend the University of Southern California (USC) in 2026, Makayla is enthusiastic about running track, organizing community service events and retiring from selling Girl Scout Fall Products and Girl Scout cookies. Although it is bittersweet, Makayla shared, "I am proud that I have exceeded my cookie goals every season! I am excited to focus on academics, my Girl Scout Gold Award idea and giving back to others in need."
