New e-commerce and media platform for elevated living opens to sustainable brand partners
LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Seeing a void in the conversation about climate change and sustainability, three vegan media industry veterans announce the launch of the digital media and e-commerce platform, Ethos.
Co-founders Jemise Jordan, Jackie Lutze, and Jill Ettinger met while working for the media company, LIVEKINDLY, which was acquired by the vegan meat company The LIVEKINDLY Collective last year.
"Our market research has identified a significant opportunity," says Jordan, Director of Global Partnerships and co-CEO. "The luxury travel, auto, fashion, and wellness markets are worth nearly $7 trillion combined. This is where the shift toward sustainability needs to happen. And it is; we're seeing so many brands come to us with great stories to tell."
The platform, which is launching a novel e-commerce site later this year, is built on a values system that celebrates artistry and entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and science. It's also elevating women in business with a co-CEO model that fosters creative collaboration and cooperation.

Ahead of the e-commerce launch, Ethos is currently accepting content partnerships to help connect brands and readers. It's producing written, video, and social media content.
"We realized we had more in common than just the first letter of our first names," says Ettinger, Global Editorial Director and co-CEO of Ethos. "We all had such a passion for sustainability. We also valued high-quality products and experiences. But no one was talking about this in a meaningful way."
Ethos has partnered with the digital teams at WE Creative and Riviera 4 Media to build its platforms under the direction of Lutze, Ethos' Creative Director and co-CEO. "The story of sustainability is very much a visual one," says Lutze. "People want to be inspired and we really felt like the platform needed to reflect this visually."
