Popular fundraiser supports educational initiatives for children in need
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Californer -- Yours Humanly, a nonprofit that works globally to transform the lives of children in need through the power of education, is holding its 2026 Gift of Schooling Gala, presented by Law Offices of James A. Bach, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the elegant Blackhawk Museum, 3700 Blackhawk Plaza Circle, Danville, California. Annual gala attendees include San Francisco Bay Area leaders and advocates in private, public, and nonprofit sectors who recognize the power of shared generosity and who support educational initiatives benefiting children in need.
Proceeds from the gala will fund Yours Humanly's educational projects and programs for underserved — and in many cases, desperately poor — children in Cambodia, India, Nepal, the Philippines, and the United States. Since its founding in 2013, Yours Humanly has served more than 46,000 children, and by extension, their families and communities.

This year's theme is a Black Tie Masquerade Affair! Attendees are encouraged to have fun and add a touch of magic, mystery, and masks to their formal wear.
Festivities begin at 5:30pm with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, and include dinner, silent and live auctions, live entertainment, and dancing. Alex Savidge, KTVU Ch. 2 anchor, is the evening's emcee; and Rachel Axt, the reigning Miss California, will be a guest speaker. Chenda Chhi, founder of the Coral Tree Education Foundation, is this year's Yours Humanly Leading With the Heart Honoree, recognized for her inspired vision and tireless leadership on behalf of Cambodian children and youth, and particularly girls and women. And, in keeping with the Masquerade theme, ballroom dancers from The Dance House Napa will perform to classic romance musical scores.
