SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- The 8th Annual PUSHTECH 2-Day Summit takes place on May 8th – 9th at Cisco in San Jose, CA. This year's theme: INTENTIONAL INCLUSION: Creating Opportunities and Opening the Doors to Diversity & Equity in Tech, Business and Beyond! Hosted by KTVU New Anchor, Dave Clark.
Rainbow PUSH and the PUSHTECH initiative has been the catalyst to challenge Silicon Valley, it has lead the campaign to change the face of technology. The organization has successfully engaged companies to release their EEO-1 and workforce diversity data, which revealed the gross underrepresentation of people of color. Work has begun to turn the tide and create more opportunities with more intentional diversity and opportunities in tech. The organization has researched the virtual exclusion of African Americans and people of color in the boardrooms and in the C-suites and helped open more seats at the table. Rainbow PUSH and PUSHTECH are making the case that inclusion leads to growth; and when there is growth everybody wins!
This years' summit will feature an exciting array of technology advances, resources, tools and advances that have navigate what has been happening in the world the past three years, while at the same time set the stage for a post-pandemic future. PUSHTECH continues to remain diligent in their assignment to tear down walls of separation and open up doors of opportunity. Diversity, equity and inclusion are not mere words for the organization, but rather they are marching orders of commitment, and the conference will provide updates on progress and hope for the future.
