LOS ANGELES, May 8, 2025 ~ Los Angeles, CA - Gravity, the only American OEM independent, EVSE hardware and software developer and site operator, has announced plans to open an initial network of 8 sites across greater Los Angeles with the fastest EV charging in America. These sites will be equipped with 500kW Distributed Energy Access Points (DEAPs), making them nearly twice as fast as Tesla Superchargers. The first locations are expected to open in 2025.
The decision to expand into Los Angeles comes after the success of Gravity's first deployment of DEAPs in New York City in 2024. These UL-listed DEAPs have consistently broken records with the fastest-ever charging speeds for all vehicle makes and models. With roughly twelve DEAPs at each site, drivers and fleet operators can expect a five-minute charging time.
In addition to their impressive speed, these new sites will also be designed to anticipate the needs of autonomous vehicles. Gravity is piloting new charging technologies that require no human involvement, with specially designed lanes, sensors, and next-generation cableless charging tech. This makes them the most advanced charging sites in the nation.

But it's not just about speed and convenience. These sites will also provide much-needed grid-resiliency capabilities. Each site will be equipped with bi-directional V2G equipment that can supply MWs of power to neighboring communities and the grid during emergencies.
Gravity's technology has already proven to be reliable, with 100% site uptime and industry-leading utilization rates approaching 50%. This reliability is crucial for customers who rely on consistent and efficient charging for their electric vehicles.
The development of these new sites is made possible through a portfolio-wide agreement with a national corporate partner. Plans are already in place to expand to hundreds of additional sites across the country. Gravity offers partners a one-stop shop for monetizing real estate and power assets, electrifying fleets, and staying ahead of compliance requirements.
Founder and CEO of Gravity, Moshe Cohen, expressed his excitement for the expansion into Los Angeles. "These new 500kW sites are going to be a game-changer for Los Angelenos," he said. "They will be far faster and more reliable than anything drivers and fleet operators have experienced, with autonomous vehicle engineering and vehicle-to-grid equipment."
The 8 new sites under development, each designed by architect Rangr Studio, will be located in East Pasadena, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Manhattan Beach, North Hills, and Thousand Oaks.
With their innovative technology and commitment to customer satisfaction, Gravity is set to revolutionize the EV charging industry in Los Angeles. To learn more about Gravity and their plans for expansion, visit their website.
