Corona, CA – May 9, 2025 – SM Telecom, a telecommunications leader, today announced an expanded partnership with AT&T, building on its success with AT&T's fiber-optic network. SM Telecom will now integrate AT&T's 5G+ wireless technology into cellphones and AT&T Internet Air, delivering fast, reliable connectivity to tech-savvy Southern California consumers.
Having deployed AT&T's fiber network to 42,000 homes since 2021, SM Telecom now leverages 5G+ for download speeds up to 1 Gbps. U.S. households consume 1.5 terabytes monthly, a 50% rise since 2022, with 2025 projections at 4.6 terabytes, driven by streaming and smart devices.
