~ Renowned actor, director, choreographer, and philanthropist Debbie Allen has been announced as the keynote speaker for CommHIT25, a two-day annual event hosted by CommHIT. The event will take place on December 4-5, 2025 at CommHIT's headquarters located at NASA/Kennedy Space Center. With the theme "Coopetition: The Art of Competing and Collaborating," the event aims to bring together leaders from various industries such as business, healthcare, and technology.
Ms. Allen is a trailblazer in the fields of arts and education and also serves as CommHIT's Ambassador for Workforce Development and Apprenticeship. Together with CommHIT, she advocates for apprenticeship programs as a proven pathway to building strong and sustainable careers.
Expressing her excitement about being a part of CommHIT25 at Kennedy Space Center, Ms. Allen shared that the place holds special significance for her family. Her mother, Vivian Ayers Allen, was a hidden figure in NASA's history and it is deeply moving for Ms. Allen to see her legacy being recognized. She believes that this event is all about breaking boundaries, something that her mother stood for. Ms. Allen also mentioned that her mother's legacy fuels her work as an Ambassador with her partners at Carrberry Companies and CommHIT.
The theme of this year's event will explore how competitors can strategically work together to solve complex challenges that no single organization could tackle alone. Through sessions, panels, and the keynote discussion by Ms. Allen, CommHIT25 will delve into how businesses can pool resources, share expertise, and unlock greater success through purposeful partnerships. This event is open to all professionals and leaders across sectors who face high stakes, tight resources, and complex challenges.

On December 4th before the symposium begins on December 5th, CommHIT will focus on its core expertise in Fire Rescue-driven care and workforce development models that strengthen resilient, community-centered health. The organization is known for its work in fortifying emergency care and mobile integrated health program processes and workforce. Mobile integrated care is a proactive healthcare delivery model that brings coordinated medical, behavioral, and social support services directly to patients through nimble mobile teams and technology tools.
CommHIT's partnership with Carrberry Companies has led to its expansion into San Diego County with the opening of a new office. Over the years, Carrberry has developed key partnerships with various organizations such as Scripps Medical Center, The San Diego Zoo, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, The San Diego Symphony, Cal State San Marcos, the San Diego Humane Society, as well as family members who have worked as First Responders with The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection San Diego (CAL FIRE). CommHIT will also be advancing its mission alongside Carrberry Companies through Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kendra Siler, President and CEO of CommHIT, expressed her enthusiasm for partnering with Ms. Allen for this groundbreaking event. She stated that CommHIT25 will be a celebration of courage, care, and cross-pollination. She believes that Ms. Allen's masterful understanding of coopetition and unforgettable stage presence will spark fresh insights from other expert speakers, immersive exhibits, and attendees. Together they aim to craft a blueprint to empower communities and businesses for lasting success.
