HOUSTON - Californer -- National Pre-Law Diversity Initiatives, Inc. is pleased to announce that AccessLex Institute will once again serve as the title sponsor of its upcoming 2019 diversity pipeline outreach events. This year, the National Black Pre-Law Conference and Law Fair will be held November 8-9 at Columbia Law School in New York, New York, and the National HBCU Pre-Law Summit & Law Expo will take place September 20-21 at Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. The Inaugural National HBCU Pre-Law Advisors Symposium, which is exclusively for pre-law advisors at historically black colleges and universities, will occur concurrently on September 20 at the same location.
"We are very excited about continuing our partnership with AccessLex Institute in hosting this year's diversity outreach events," said Evangeline M. Mitchell, Esq., Ed.M., Founder and Executive Director, National Pre-Law Diversity Initiatives, Inc. "The great work they do to improve access to legal education for historically underrepresented students is critical and much needed."
These informational and networking conferences are designed to empower future lawyers from diverse backgrounds by providing them with invaluable information and resources they may not otherwise have access to, as well as opportunities to make connections with law students, lawyers, law school administrators, law professors and other achievement-oriented peers before they even apply to law school. In addition, these events also provide participants with the chance to hear from dynamic keynote and special guest speakers; attend panel discussions and workshops; take part in optional law school tours, law school classes and Law School Admission Test (LSAT) test-taking strategy sessions; participate in one-on-one practical assistance and consulting sessions; and attend law school and resource fairs – all at no cost to them.
