Video Released Ahead of June 10th Democratic Primary Highlights Bagolie's Journey from Educator to Legislator and Her Fight to Protect Public Education
LIVINGSTON, N.J. - Californer -- New Jersey Assemblywoman Dr. Rosy Bagolie (D-LD27, Essex/Passaic) has officially launched the first video of her 2025 reelection campaign, powerfully telling her story as a child immigrant, a Jewish-Latina mom of three, and a lifelong educator who rose from classroom teacher to principal, superintendent, and now state legislator. As attacks on public education intensify, Bagolie is emerging as a leading voice in New Jersey, ready to stand up to President Trump's plan to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education and defend the future of New Jersey's students and schools.

Bagolie, the endorsed candidate of both the Essex and Passaic County Democratic Committees, believes New Jersey is at a crossroads. "With the Trump Administration renewing its attacks on public education — including a plan to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education — we need leaders who understand our classrooms, not just the politics," said Bagolie. "I've been on the front lines. I know what's at stake, and I'm fighting to protect our students, support our teachers, and strengthen our schools."

Dr. Bagolie brings decades of hands-on experience and real-world leadership to Trenton. Now, as a state legislator and member of the Assembly Education Committee, she's using that experience to shape meaningful education policy that directly impacts students, educators, and families across New Jersey.
The video goes on to highlight who she is as a person, a legislator and, now, a candidate for reelection as the Assemblywoman for the 27th Legislative District serving Montclair, Livingston, West Orange, Millburn/Short Hills, Roseland, and Clifton.
"I am asking the public to take a moment to watch my video, and if moved, to share it," said Bagolie. "You can also learn more about my legislative accomplishments on my website, https://rosybagolie.com/," she says.
