PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 10, 2025 ~ Barre3, a well-known wellness brand that focuses on women's fitness, has recently acquired Studio Barre, a barre brand based in San Diego. This strategic move will bring together the collective knowledge and expertise of both brands to continue promoting physical and mental well-being within their communities.
Founded in 2008 by Shannon Higgins, Studio Barre has gained recognition for its fun and energizing workout sessions. With 11 studios located across California, Montana, Rhode Island, and South Carolina, Studio Barre has established a strong presence in the boutique fitness industry.
On the other hand, barre3 was founded in 2008 by Sadie and Chris Lincoln and has quickly become one of the most renowned names in boutique fitness. Their approach to fitness is rooted in science and sustainability. In 2024, Sadie was recognized for her leadership when she won Entrepreneur of the Year at Ernst & Young Mountain West and was also included in Forbes' 50 over 50 List.

Sadie Lincoln, CEO and co-founder of barre3, expressed her excitement about welcoming Studio Barre into their network. She praised the owners of these studios for their drive and passion to grow their businesses with the support of barre3. Lincoln believes that this combination of purpose and drive will lead to positive changes as they enter this new era of growth together.
Founder Shannon Higgins shared her vision for Studio Barre as a space where people could come together to challenge themselves and grow while fostering a sense of community. She believes that this community has now found its new home with barre3. As they embark on this exciting new chapter, Higgins is filled with gratitude and excitement for what's to come.
Over the next seven months, all 11 Studio Barre locations will be rebranded as barre3 studios. This acquisition follows barre3's recent expansion with The Barre Code and Barre Centric, further solidifying their position as the largest independently owned and operated omnichannel boutique fitness brand run by women.
Barre3 continues to transform lives through a mindful approach to fitness, rooted in community and driven by purpose. This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter not only in barre3's growth but also in their journey towards promoting a healthier lifestyle.
