Book lovers delight in supporting Sonoma County Libraries while adding to their reading stash
SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Californer -- Sonoma County book lovers are marking their calendars! From Friday, October 4 to Monday, October 7, Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries will offer 50,000 gently used books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles for sale at Veterans Memorial Hall in Santa Rosa. Everything from popular titles to hidden gems will be found in fiction, mysteries, romance, arts & culture, history, cooking, biographies, social sciences, health & wellness, music, science & nature, travel, languages, and more.
And who doesn't love a bargain? Most books are $2 or less, and children's books are $1. Plus, Sunday, October 6 is "Half Price Day" and Monday, October 7 is "$5 Bag Day", with no limit on number of bags!
"Thanks to extremely generous donations of books, DVDs, CDs, and puzzles from Santa Rosa residents, the Fall Book Sale should be a shopping delight for book lovers and bargain hunters," said Julia Freis, President of Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries.
Residents of Santa Rosa and surrounding communities in Sonoma County – including Sebastopol, Windsor, Healdsburg, Rohnert Park, Petaluma, and Sonoma Valley – have been dedicated supporters of the Fall Book Sale presented by the Friends of the Santa Rosa Libraries. The sale is a celebration of books, literacy, and community, as thousands of affordably priced books are returned to happy readers while generating support for four Santa Rosa libraries, the History & Genealogy Library, and the Adult Literacy Program of the Sonoma County Library system.
