MARIETTA, Ga., June 5, 2025 ~ BRIJ Medical, a leading medical device company, has been chosen to join the prestigious MedTech Innovator 2025 Accelerator Cohort. This highly competitive program, which received nearly 1,500 global applicants, only selected 65 companies to participate this year. BRIJ Medical's innovative tension-offloading incision closure technology caught the attention of the selection committee and secured their spot in the top 4% of applicants.
MedTech Innovator (MTI) is known as the world's largest accelerator for medical technology startups. The four-month program offers participants access to top-notch mentorship, strategic guidance, and a strong network of investors, providers, payers, manufacturers, and industry experts. BRIJ Medical's CEO Tim Gleeson expressed his excitement about being chosen for this year's cohort and the opportunities it will bring for their company.
"We are honored to join this year's MedTech Innovator Cohort," said Gleeson. "This opportunity provides a strong platform to validate our current products, strategically position our upcoming technology for commercial success, forge key partnerships, and accelerate our growth in market."

BRIJ Medical's flagship product, the Brijjit Force Modulating Tissue Bridge, uses a tension-offloading approach to surgical closure that supports patients throughout all stages of healing. This aligns perfectly with MTI's mission to improve patient care through transformative technology by reducing skin tension and minimizing open wounds and scarring.
In addition to being part of the MTI program, BRIJ Medical will also participate in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' Plastic Surgery Accelerator Track. This track offers even more mentorship opportunities and exposure within the industry.
As part of the program, BRIJ Medical will have the chance to present at major industry events such as The MedTech Conference powered by AdvaMed in October and/or the MedTech Strategist Innovation Summit in November. These events will also serve as a platform for the cohort companies to compete for a share of $800,000 in non-dilutive funding.
BRIJ Medical's selection for the MedTech Innovator 2025 Accelerator Cohort is a testament to their innovative technology and potential for growth in the medical device industry. With this opportunity, they are well-positioned to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and continue their success in the market.
