SAN DIEGO - Californer -- A candidate forum for candidates running for the California 79th Assembly District in the November general election, sponsored by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., has been confirmed. The forum will be held on October 12, 2024, at 4:00 PM at The Southeastern Live Well Center located at 5101 Market St., San Diego, CA 92114.
Both candidates (LaShae Sharp-Collins and Colin Parent) have confirmed their attendance. They will give opening statements and take questions from the audience. Take this opportunity to hear from the candidates and learn where they stand on issues important to you.

The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of San Diego and conducted
according to its guidelines, ensuring fairness. Following introductions, there will be a question-and-answer session. Zoom participants will have an opportunity to submit questions in writing. After the questions are read, each candidate will be given equal time to respond.
The event will be held in person on October 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and the forum will be video recorded and posted on the League's YouTube channel for future viewing. Thus, you can catch up on the event at your convenience.
