These appointments do not require Senate confirmation, and the compensation for each position varies. Ohanian, Gordon, and Hill are all Democrats.
In other news, Governor Newsom has recently announced that California has experienced lower crime rates in 2024 thanks to significant investments in community safety. This comes amid President Trump's continued assault on states nationwide.
Furthermore, Governor Newsom and California leaders recently hosted Texas officials to discuss options to respond to Republican gerrymandering attempts. The meeting took place in Sacramento as Trump and Texas Republicans push for rigged congressional maps to seize power.
As the state continues to face challenges both internally and externally, these appointments demonstrate Governor Newsom's commitment to strengthening California's government and serving its citizens.
