New Signia MaX platform brings advanced AI-powered sound processing to patients seeking better hearing in complex, noisy environments.
SAN FRANCISCO - Californer -- California Hearing Center, an independent audiology practice serving the San Francisco Bay Area from offices in San Mateo and San Carlos, is now offering the newly released Signia MaX (Multi-adaptive Xperience) hearing aid platform.
Signia MaX represents the newest generation of Signia hearing technology and introduces what the company calls Acoustic Intelligence™ — a system that uses four interconnected deep neural networks to simultaneously analyze speech, background noise, the surrounding environment, and the wearer's own voice.
The goal is to help hearing aid wearers stay engaged in real-world listening situations, particularly restaurants, family gatherings, meetings, and other environments where multiple people may be speaking at the same time.
"Technology continues to improve rapidly, but the most important question is still whether a hearing aid helps an individual patient hear better in the situations that matter to them," said California Hearing Center. "We're excited to make Signia MaX available while continuing to focus on careful evaluation, professional fitting, and verification."

The first hearing aid built on the new platform is the Signia Pure Charge&Go MaX, a rechargeable receiver-in-canal hearing aid. Key features include:
According to research released by Signia, 29 of 30 participants in one study achieved their best speech-understanding performance in a simulated noisy group conversation while using Signia MaX compared with Signia IX and two other premium hearing aids. As with any manufacturer-sponsored research, individual results can vary, and the right hearing aid depends on each patient's hearing loss, listening needs, lifestyle, and preferences.
