~ Tomorrow, California's First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom will be joining mental health professionals, athletes, and over 600 students from two Pasadena Unified School District schools for a special event. The event, called Move Your Body, Calm Your Mind Day, is a statewide day of action that promotes the importance of movement, mindfulness, and play.
The rally will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 1st and will feature a variety of activities such as dancing, yoga, meditation, and drumboxing. The goal of the event is to encourage students to incorporate these practices into their daily lives for improved mental health.
This in-person event will not be streamed and is only open to credentialed media. Those interested in attending must RSVP by 8:30 a.m. on May 1st through the provided link. Location information will be given upon confirmation.
