LOS ANGELES - Californer -- "I wanna roll in it...Money. Make pies with it...Money," the sultry spoken vocals of Jes Marie ring out on CHAMIE's newest single. The hypnotic hip hop beat and vibrant horns provide a sensual and rhythmic backdrop for the duo's newest song, an ode to loving money. Known for their electro pop/dance music, CHAMIE's newest single utilizes the electronic ear candy their group is known for, while foraying into a darker latin hip hop sound.
The duo is eager to show another side of themselves with this track. "I feel this song empowers women, and people from all walks of life in its own, unique way, which is something I always strive to do and make sure is incorporated into our music," Jes states. "The song is meant to make the listener feel fierce and powerful."

The idea for "Money" was born after Jes Marie and Joe Sobalo, the other half of the CHAMIE duo, watched the movie "Hustlers" starring J-Lo and Cardi B. "I thought the women in the film really put themselves out there and I was inspired by their confidence," Jes says. "After watching the film, a few days later I suddenly had an idea for a song in my head. I told Joe about it, he loved it and we immediately wrote the rest of the song."
"Money" drops on all music platforms on May 21st, 2021.
