Californer -- What can I say, "I'm a gas guzzling, diesel burning, combustion engine truck fan." For me personally trucks represent utility. A truck can be used for work, travel, recreation and more. Historically trucks were made to be tough, have longevity, and excellent hauling capabilities. A truck could handle the roughest terrain, haul the heaviest equipment and when you drop the tailgate at the Raider game it's time to barbecue. Trucks weren't fluffy, although I do like some of the fancier truck models, but I'm good with a four speed manual with overdrive and a 5.7 liter V8 also know as a 350 cubic inch naturally aspirated combustion engine. Fuel injection is cool, but a carburetor gets the job done too. For me trucks aren't about fuel economy , they are about work economy. Lets talk a little about style. I'm more of an old school truck fan. In my opinion Chevy and GM square body trucks are possibly some of the best standard trucks manufactured, Ford, and Dodge also have great offerings. As far as imports Toyota and Nissan make some great trucks also. Thanks for reading this post, and remember trucks, and more trucks, 4x4 trucks too.
