The schedule includes DJ duo Las Chicas Tristes at 1 p.m., Millikan's Ballet Folklorico Program at 1:15 p.m., Vintage Show at 2 p.m., Mariachi Divas at 3:15 p.m., Tiancho at 4:30 p.m. and Como La Flor Band, a Selena tribute act, at 6 p.m.

A children's area will offer arts and crafts, ofrenda and altar decorating, face painting and a musical petting zoo where children can try different instruments. The city also said at least 10 food trucks will serve a range of options, including Mexican, Japanese and Thai-Mexican fusion food, as well as hot dogs and funnel cakes.

Día de los Muertos is rooted in traditions and cultures of Indigenous communities in Mexico and Latin America, according to the city. The festival is presented by the City of Long Beach and the Office of First District Councilwoman Mary Zendejas, with support from other city offices and community organizations.
