Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is celebrating Digital Inclusion Week by hosting a series of free Community Workshops on Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Skills, and Data Privacy. These workshops, organized by the City's Department of Technology and Innovation, will take place throughout the month of October 2025.
The workshops aim to equip residents with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the digital world and understand the rapidly evolving landscape of AI. Through engaging presentations, hands-on activities, and live demonstrations of common AI tools, participants will gain a clear understanding of Generative AI and how it is being used in Long Beach.
In addition to learning about AI, participants will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience using AI tools safely and effectively. The workshops will also cover important topics such as data privacy and cybersecurity tips that can be implemented in everyday life.
The workshops will be held at various locations throughout Long Beach on different dates. These include the Doris Topsy-Elvord Community Center at Houghton Park on October 8th, El Dorado Park West Community Center on October 13th, Silverado Park Community Center on October 15th, Long Beach Senior Center on October 20th, and Billie Jean King Main Library on October 22nd.

The Community Workshop Series aligns with the City's efforts to increase digital inclusion and promote safe and effective use of emerging technologies.
