Long Beach, CA ~ The City of Long Beach is taking steps towards boosting economic development in West Long Beach by exploring the possibility of establishing a business association. The Department of Economic Development & Opportunity (EDO) is inviting business owners and stakeholders to attend an event on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Casa Chaskis (2380 Santa Fe Ave.) to learn more about the initiative and get involved. Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP online.
EDO has been actively engaging with businesses along the Santa Fe Avenue business corridor, from Anaheim to Willow Streets, in order to gain a better understanding of local needs and opportunities. This free event will build upon the success of a previous networking event held in October and provide attendees with important updates. Additionally, there will be an overview of the Westside Promise initiative presented by the City's Community Development Department.
