SAN JOSE, Calif. - The City of San José has released the following statement regarding a City colleague who was injured in the attack at Grace Baptist Church on Sunday, November 22:
The San Jose Police Department is actively investigating the tragic attack that occurred on Sunday night at Grace Baptist Church. We have confirmed that one of three victims who survived the attack is a City of San José employee.
The City employee is an active member of the community and was volunteering at the church that night. They are a valued member of our City family and we have been in touch with them since the attack. We can share that our colleague has requested privacy, both for themselves and their family members, and we ask that this wish be respected. A GoFundMe page has been set up by members of the community to help with expenses during recovery.
