"Dr. Kepic, Dr. Azar, and myself share a background in our training through Indiana University, and I'm excited that Dr. Kepic's commitment to excellence will be carried on," Dr. Haroon said.
Dr. Haroon completed a three-year specialty education program in periodontics at the Richard Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis. Commenting on this experience, Dr. Haroon said, "The veterans I treated mostly had very complex dental and medical concerns. I met many amazing men and women who dedicated their lives to a selfless cause, and I feel honored to have helped them in their journey to improve their periodontal and overall oral health."
Dr. Haroon has published in the prestigious Journal of Periodontology and has won numerous research awards. In her general practice residency and periodontal graduate programs, Dr. Haroon finished as chief resident.
Asked about her goals when she meets a new patient, Dr. Haroon said, "I want the patient to start to feel comfortable with me from the first visit and know that I am advocating for their periodontal and overall oral health. Building trust is so important, because establishing a long-term relationship to improve and maintain the patient's oral health is the primary goal."

Noting that periodontal care often requires collaboration with other dentists, Dr. Haroon explained her philosophy. "During my periodontal residency training, I regularly worked with the department's general dentistry, endodontic, and oral surgery providers. I found that effective multidisciplinary communication is one of the most critical aspects of ensuring that patients receive the best quality care."
Dr. Haroon is accepting new patients. She may be contacted at (909) 982-4169 or through the practice website, www.azarkepic.com.
