SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- Optometrist Dr. Jeanette Lee, owner of 20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley in San Jose, Calif., was recently named one of Healthcare Insight's Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs for 2022.
Dr. Lee is a leading expert in the treatment of eye infections, eye inflammation, eye injuries, eye disease and has been recognized for developing a proven treatment to cure dry eyes. She specializes in the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome, a condition where the front of the eye becomes dry. Symptoms include burning discomfort; a sandy, gritty feeling or the feeling of a foreign object in the eye. Dry Eye Syndrome occurs when there's a deficiency of oil, water or mucus on the surfaces of your eyes.
"Being named one of Healthcare Insights Most Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs in the healthcare industry is such an honor," Dr. Lee said. "I am proof that with the right solutions, you can have it all in business and life."
Dr. Lee, with more than 25 years of experience in optometry, had to overcome multiple challenges to break through the glass ceiling in the male-dominated optometry profession. She overcame several challenges and misfortunes in her personal and professional life to succeed as both a small business owner and mother of two young boys.
